Registrar General Practitioner
Dr. Leila Abdoul-Raman is a fourth year Specialist Registrar on Southwest Training Program in General Practice. She graduated from medical school from University College Cork in 2016 and completed her internship year in University Hospital Kerry and Cork University Hospital.
She spent her first two years on the GP training scheme working in various departments in University Hospital Kerry and Bantry General Hospital, including 6 months in psychiatry, 6 months in paedaitrics, 6 months in obstetrics and gyanaecology and accident and emergency, and 6 months in internal medicine. Before starting in The Ashe Street Clinic in July 2020, she spent a year working as a registrar in general practice in Castlegregoy.
Leila was brough up in Vancouver, Canada by her Irish mother and Mauritian father, both of whom are in the medical profession. She has 3 siblings, 2 currently working as doctors in the Republic of Ireland.
She likes to keep fit by hiking and walking her dogs. She loves to travel and see new places.
